  • Man Mandir Palace was built by King Man Singh Tomar, of Tomar dynasty at the north east side of Gwalior Fort and though the whole palace is no more intact now, the tourists can still feel the history here by watching the royal courts in two different levels of the land. The underground prison of this fort was added by the Mughal rulers, which cannot be searched out without the help of a local guide.
  • Jai Vilas Mahal was built by Maharaja Jivaji Rao Scindia of Gwalior on 1809 and as its construction was supervised by an English architect Sir Michael Filose, the architecture of this palace strongly follows the European style. The 25 rooms of this building are filled with furniture purchased from various European markets and also it has two heavy chandeliers made of Belgian glass.
  • Suraj Kund is a vast water tank within Gwalior Fort, which has splendid surrounding scenery and a peaceful atmosphere, with wonderful scenes of sunrise and sunset. The water of this tank is believed to have great medicinal value for curing many chronic ailments.

Gwalior Junction Station is a large railway station that is run by North Central Railway. This station has got awards for cleanliness on consecutive years previously and now more than 150 trains pass through this station on a regular basis, while 10 trains start from this prime station.
